About

Born in 1993, Branden Rodriguez took on the name "BR163" as it stands for Buda Real, spanish for Real Budha and the street he comes from. Exposed to the world of graffiti by the age of 10, he was captivated by the legendary graffiti writers around him. BR163 emerged himself onto the streets of the Bronx as a writer as he then decided to pursue a BFA degree in Fine Arts. Bridging the gap between history and contemporary, he continues to explore the amalgamation of Surrealism and Graffiti through different materials and ideas. From the streets to galleries, he continues to showcase his passion.
